NIV Bible error - Lucifer AND Jesus are ONE in the NIV. See Isaiah 14:12.
Oh wait a minute, according to your website I am damned to hell because I remain in the Catholic Church. so how can I be saved and still remain in an apostate church?
Oh and by the way, for all the preaching that Scripture is the Sole authority, you sure seem to have a problem with it. Im only the messenger. What I said to you was straight from your Bible.
***...so how can I be saved and still remain in an apostate church?***
Ahem, if I may... your salvation depends on your belief in Jesus Christ, not in which church you belong to.
And where is the love in your posts? Telling me I can’t read and that I am ridiculous. And what sin have I committed that you know of? Quoting scripture is a sin now?
thank you my friend
**Ahem, if I may... your salvation depends on your belief in Jesus Christ, not in which church you belong to.**
Go read the website. Then get back to me. I’m not the one who believes that. Rocky Creek Baptist Church does.
God dealt out his full wrath and justice in the person, and body of Jesus Christ. If the law could have saved and justified a man, there would have been no need for Jesus Christ to have come as our redeemer and Savior. NO MAN, would, could, or ever been able to fulfill all of the righteous demands of the law. The law can not justify no man. Jesus Christ came to fullfill, to up hold, and meet all of the righteous demands of the law. Those people who say that " God is going to punish you for your sins " have got it backwards, God has already punished our sins. Yes, of course we will stand at the white throne of his judgment seat, but, most people look at judgment in a bad light or context, of course, it's going to be bad for those who have not believed, trusted in Jesus Christ, believe on the Gospel message, which is the truth. Jesus said that he will separate the lambs ( his own Saints who are saved by Grace and are In Christ ) to the right, and the goats on the left ( who are not his, those who have vain doctrines and do not follow the Bible doctrines ).
Ahhhhhh.....an appeal to authority. That typically Catholic creature, usually so despised by Protestants.
You must yield to me for I have greater authority in this matter; I have studied Scripture for 30 years. In the end, it is important, isn't it? In order to press your point there's nothing else left, is there? When conflicting personal views on Scripture collide, it's quite amusing to see Protestants reverting to that horrific Catholic practice of asserting that correct interpretation of Scripture requires a certain authority.
No where on that website does it say that Lil Flower is damned to hell. It does say that Catholic teaching is leading many into hell. Perhaps you are saved and God is trying to lead you out of the error. I do not judge individual hearts my friend — I do judge teaching and doctrine. That judgment is based on Scripture and Scripture alone.
If you read the website and came away with some twisted idea that it says to be saved one must be a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church — that’s ridiculous. EXACTLY! No where does the website imply such a thing!
You read into it what you wanted to read into it.
I did not say anything about being a member of your church, nor did I say your website stated that. It states that I am a member of an apostate church(Catholic) which is damned.
Re-read my post instead of being so melodramatic.
You posted the website. It’s your church. Go read it. Start with: Catholicism: The Great Apostasy.
Your reply is a logical fallacy called “poisoning the wells.” You cannot classify all who argue contrary to your view “immature.” The responses seem very well-reasoned, so far.
BTW, I’m no particular fan of the NIV, feeling that its struggle for readability results in majestic passages going flat, lacking depth.
There is no particular reason to conclude that Lucifer refers to satan, other that a predisposition to do so in order to fit a preconceived idea of prophecy. Even if it does refer to satan, honored personages in ancient times were often called “morning star,” comparing them to Venus.
Isaiah 64 could be another “morning star” reference, this time to God, and maybe even to Jesus and the star of Bethlehem.
** God is trying to lead you out of the error**
Why would God lead me out of where he lead me 17 years ago?
As for me, my relationship with Christ, my salvation is more important than what church I go to.
Well Rocky Creek Baptist church appears to see it differently than you, or me.
