Just got a telephone call from a good friend. Her Yellow Labrador Retriever, Woody, is at the vet with a blockage. They are trying to shift it without surgery, but if things haven't moved by tomorrow morning they will have to go in.
Woody is a big ol' boy and absolutely the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is also a great hunting retriever and my friend's best pal. And he is the father of my little yellow dog Katy.
Please everybody pray that we have a good outcome here -- that they can move the blockage without surgery . . . failing that, that the surgery be uneventful and Woody have no infection or other complications.

Thanks BG! I’ll be glad to say some prayers for Woody’s good outcome. I’ve been through that surgery - but it wasn’t from something I ate, lol.

Oh my goodness. Prayers up for Woody and family; that everything works out perfectly well and he has many many more years of joy to give to his friends.

How could a Domini Canis (obscure Latin pun) not pray for another of God's dogs, for all dogs belong to Him? May God protect him and comfort him and those who love him.

I love yellow Labs. I don’t think I have ever prayed for an animal but this sounds like the time to start!

Subcutaneous fluids have worked miracles twice in the past 6 mos for our furry garbage disposal....seemed to get things moving when he couldn’t keep fluid that he drank down. Once it was a corncob....the other time a peach seed.

Joining the FReeper prayer team for the Lord's healing touch upon Woody. Job 12:10 ~ “In His hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” May we soon learn that all is well, to the Glory of the Creator. Amen ...

Dogs are like little angels. My last pastor (priest) said all dogs go to heaven—I believe that. God bless this special dog.

Praying for Woody. We had a beautiful, wonderful, Yellow Lab for 13 years. He was truly full of fun, love, loyalty and had a pure spirit. Keep us posted on Woody.

They BEG for you to give them a “job.” Ours used to love bringing up the mail from the mailbox when we would hand it to him. He just loved life, his family, “jobs” and having fun. We still miss him very much.

Father in Heaven, one of your precious animals needs your healing. We claim it Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that You love Your animals Father, and we thank You for Your healing.
Amen and Amen.

Prayers for Woody. This is the 2nd pet this week with a blockage that I've prayed for. I hope things work out for the pup.
We have a yellow lab mix (mixed with beagle) and just love her to pieces. She had cancer surgery this year, so I have an idea of what Woody's family is going through.
