bibletruth these are all in your Old Testament Scriptures (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
interesting -- do you think that the Gospels are in the Old Testament? ARe they in the KJV version that you use? Perhaps the New Testament as per your group's vision is the /Book of Mormon?

Same old, same old. Always the attempt to somehow limit the extravagant, beautiful, mysterious love of God into some kind of “soteriology” that leaves out everyone but the Calvinist poster.

Im an Arminian, but I actually believe some truth is beyond our understanding, which is why God gave us scripture and not a systematic theology text. We may not agree on all things, or even very much, but that is beautifully said, and deeply true. Humankind can scarcely resist the temptation to slice and dice the "way of a man with a maid" into culturally derivative chemistry, psychology and physiology. Much LESS the eternal mystery.
"Who shall grant me to rest in Thee? By Whose gift wilt Thou enter into my heart, and fill it so compellingly that I shall turn no more to my sins, but embrace Thee, my only Good? What art Thou to me? Have mercy, that I may tell....what rather am I to Thee, that Thou shouldst demand my love, and if I do not love Thee, threaten such great woe? Surely, not to love Thee is already a great woe..."

Good questions. If I believed in Calvinism, I wouldn't worry about much - because that would mean a person was either in or out and there would be nothing they could do about it. The 'U' would be in place for an individual no matter what. But I don't believe in Calvinish. I believe in Jesus Christ and Jesus used the word 'whosoever' from time to time when describing who would perish and who would have everlasting life.

Very true. We are to “love the LORD [our] God with all [our] heart and with all [our] soul and with all [our] might”, not analyze Him like a scientific specimen. Obedience is better than logic...

Thanks for removing those personal insults by The Theo — to resort to such tactics at the start of a conversation is definitely not becoming a freeper

You always find a way to persecute Christ who is IN ME; and persecute me who am fully
saved by the blood of Christ. I am IN CHRIST and there is nothing that that Catholics can do to change that truth. But I ask to refrain from persecuting Christ who is IN me; as Christ said to Paul in Acts 9:5, '
And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest : it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.'
So for your effort: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks to those of us whom are saved by Christ's blood and have eternal salvation apart from the 'catholic' religious system.
Paul is the minister today for all grace saints who follow Christ Jesus, whom is the head of the Church, HIS BODY. GOD established Paul's ministry, and none of you can take it away from GOD.

The “Why evangelism” question is one strict Calvinists trip all over themselves on.
Seems like there has been a resurgence of Calvinism lately. Not sure why.
The fact is that the Calvinists are our brothers in Christ. There is a tendency among that movement, however, to be real in-your-face judgmental. That’s when I pull out the “Why evangelism” question, just to back them off a bit.
