I appreciate where you are coming from but feel you might be taking your hermeneutics a bitt too far. From what I've read, the seemless tunic was of high quality. But, of course, there wasn't a radiance or halo emanating in his humility.

One could say that Tiger Woods looks like any ordinary golfer, but with his distinction and following, I'd doubt that he could disappear into a crowd.

The tunic was an undergarment. As I understand it, those who stripped him were surprised by its high quality. Not what they expected from his outer clothing.

My point was not that Jesus was a slob. Rather that he made no attempt to set himself apart from his fellow Jews by the way he dressed. His differences were of other kinds.
