Scripture is inspired by God, for men
Should anything said by any man, conflict with scripture, scripture wins.... period.
There’s a difference between little t, tradition, and big T, Tradition.
There is no contradiction between Scripture and Tradition. There are important and essential Christian truths that you will not find in the Bible.
You are right that some little t ‘traditions’ can be contrary to scripture and what Christ teaches.
Second, Paul says in Timothy that he is to pass on the Tradition he has received from his elders, as part of the office of the Church. So clearly they had stuff beyond scripture even in the early days.
