Torturing and killing people, why? Because they dont *think like you do*. they dont *believe exactly like you do.* The mind reels.

With an emphasis on the word "exactly". Imagine the Holy Inquisitor's salivating glee, at the opportunity to utilize modern interrogation techniques to commit unending authorized torture on anyone and everyone, to verify if they buy into Catholicism wholeheartedly. Break out the catechisms, the canons, the councils, the encyclicals, ad infinitum ad nauseum....

"....If a Catholic rejects even one tenet of Church teaching then they are as a result declaring that the Church is not a holy institution and more importantly the Church’s belief in truth is wrong....Catholicism has a monopoly on the truth, it is not good enough to only believe in some of the Church’s teachings, we have to and are logically required to believe in all of the Church’s teachings."
from the thread What Is The Catholic Truth?

(((chilling)))

And certainly not an impossibility since we have Roman Catholics on this forum literally cheering a return to the Inquisition.

I find the mindset that these *people* think they have the right to question anybody in the first place, let alone torture and then require the civil authorities to execute them. This is old Pagan Rome at it’s worst, killing christians, Jews, whomever, and killing Christ. But then that’s what every mass is, so why should we be surprised.
