What grasp do you have of the world to come based on the Bible?
It's like this in life as we trudge along and make our life. People we meet along the way make a difference
Some do and some, most—vast majority—don't. The ones you will remember will be those who DO something that will affect your life, leave you an inheritance or robbing you at gunpoint. Works matter. In fact it's the ONLY thing that matters: what others do to us and we to them; what other do for us and we for them.
The rest is fluff.
Well...”fluff” makes a difference as well kosta. Also everyone we meet makes a difference. Just because you don’t see the results doesn’t mean that God isn’t working in ways He chooses not to reveal to you.
A vile tongue does not only affect the person who is the target, those who standby are also affected as are those met thereafter who learn of it. Our actions are like a wave that keeps on moving across the waters. Both the good and the bad. But in Gods hands He brings good from the bad. It is His way. We may not see it in this life but assuredly “all things” work for the good. We just don’t have the clear understanding or vision to it as so.
But works are not the “only” thing that matters...matter they do but not apart from Christ. And besides the good we do is as “filthy rags” when they stand alone.
