I think the reason it is so important for Mary to have remained a virgin, is because, according to mlizzy, on another thread, The Holy Spirit is her husband. The Holy Spirit is her spouse. Words mean something, smvoice. You were the one to expound on that just a day or so ago.
Is that better? Does that change the meaning of this vile idea?
See post 2320 on this thread for more information on your Church's beliefs and teachings in regards to 'Mary's spouse IS the Holy Spirit'. It's not a new epiphany for Mark Mallett or you. It's been in the Catholic teachings for awhile.
