You are welcome. I do try to read carefully what people say.
The rest of what you write in response to my original I reject utterly as nonsense. Again, say until you are blue in the face that the Catholic Church gave the Holy Scripture to the world. It only makes you look more arrogant and ignorant. Just as the stones would have cried out, “Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,” on Palm Sunday had the people not, so too would the stones have taken pen in hand and Balaam’s ass as well, and published abroad the inspired gospels and epistles had men not.
Who do you think you are?
The level of deception and delusion that the Catholic church engages is in staggering.
Matthew 22:29 But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
Mark 12:24Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?
John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,
The Roman Catholic church is wrong about all this stuff because it does NOT know Scripture. For that reason it has fallen into error and followed every cunningly devised fable that has come down the pike.

Not nearly as peculiar as your own.
Since you gave no serious thought to my post, I have responded in kind to yours.
gamecock.... another one......
Their reaction to the truth. Some people don't take being exposed for their lies very well, I'd say.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
16"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Few folks do of any label.
However, it is persistently amazing to me that out of so many RC’s on FR, maybe 3 or so could tolerate it very constructively much at all.
Its no surprise to me that catholics despise the scriptures.
The scriptures demolish the catholic apostasy completely.
It only matters if you believe there is any merit in what the say. It does, however, show that given the opportunity, those of your persuasion would again stifle freedoms like done Calvin's Geneva.
It would, however, come as a surprise to Catholics. What isn't a surprise is the distortion of the Scriptures into a false creed to fit the personal ambitions of the reformationists.
Because the Vatican and the *Bishop of Rome* claim primacy over EVERYONE and that THEY are the way to heaven. They claim they are the one true church founded on Peter.
Our interest is in alerting the unsuspecting of the lies that that the RCC teaches and the contradictions to the clear meaning of the written, inspired by God, Scripture so that they can make a well informed decision to either follow Christ alone, or follow Christ, plus Mary, plus the pope, plus whoever and whatever else the Catholic church decides to add to the mix.
Jesus is all we need for a sure salvation. HE is the way, the truth, the life. No man comes to the Father but through HIM. (John 14:6)
Nothing else and no one else.
"We should all then, like the Quakers, live without an order of priests, moralize for ourselves, follow the oracle of conscience, and say nothing about what no man can understand, nor therefore believe: for I suppose belief to be the assent of the mind to an intelligible proposition." TJ to Edward Dowse, April 19. 1803, in Norman Cousins (ed.), In God We Trust: The Religious Beliefs and Ideas of the American Founding Fathers (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1958), p.237.
But he was okay with the Jesus of Christianity:
"They are the result of a life of inquiry and reflection,
and very different from that anti-Christian system imputed to me by those who know nothing of my opinions. To the corruptions of Christianity I am indeed opposed; but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus himself. I am a Christian, in the only sense in which he wished any one to be; sincerely attached to his doctrines, in preference to all others; ascribing to himself every human excellence; and believing he never claimed any other." TJ to Benjamin Rush, April 21, 1803, ibid., p. 168.
I am not Calvinist in my theology either, but I can honestly say that I have NEVER felt intimidated, inquisitized(?), condemned or imposed upon by anything DrE has said. We agree about the main thing which is Christ died, was buried and rose again for our salvation that God gifts to us by grace through faith - you know, the GOSPEL.
That doesn't pass the 'so what' test. If you don't believe the Church is anything special then what it says should be of no more consequence than a script from an old Cheers episode.
Those who object to the voicing of an opinion of no consequence are either busybodies or control freaks or both. Those who would stifle free speech and religious expression in lieu of their own version of correctness are certainly not American conservatives.
But you can't honestly say you have never witnessed it towards anyone who is or sympathizes with Catholics. The endless shrill tirade against "Rome" that takes place here on a daily basis, the fabricated images and outlandish lies told for no reason other than to damage the Church, the oh so carefully worded insults meant to finesse the rules and game the mods certainly aren't intended to promote Christian ecumenicalism.
I guess some on this thread don’t want their church cleaned up or they wouldn’t keep trying to deflect the conversation whenever Catholic church history is brought up.
And just what do you do to promote Christian ecumenicalism? I seem to recall a number of those carefully worded to finesse the RF guideline posts that have been removed have been yours.
And refresh my memory.... How many thread have you been kicked off of for such behavior already?
So then by the same token, it shouldn't matter to Catholics what non-catholics say about the faith either? Who do you think even started all this "heresy here, heresy there, let's kill all the heretics everywhere" efforts in the first place?
When you know the truth you are compelled to share it with those who do not. Some people, who are earnestly seeking for it, rejoice and accept it with open arms. While others, who are convinced they alone are right, reject everything that does not conform to their own ideas of truth - regardless if what they think is true is not. Our only authority for truth about God is the Holy Bible, which HE gave to us THROUGH men who he inspired to write them.
Lastly, what makes you think anyone is trying to make you leave your church? God is who guides us to our spiritual home and family. No person, especially not anonymous posters would ever try to. If a person is right with the Lord they will be open and sensitive to wherever he leads them. I pray you find that soul-home where you are nurtured in the Word and strengthened in your faith with others of like mind.
Jesus is all we need for a sure salvation....... HE is the way, the truth, the life...... No man comes to the Father but through HIM. (John 14:6)
..and that says it ALL.
