If that's supposed to prove something about Mormonism,
let me point out that half the mormons in that little Disney production had evil intent.

Mormons’s are blinded..shielded, and held to their thoughts by group think, cultist “doctrine” and family. Period.
Absolute classic kettle meets pot. Too much! lol
Your little family of blind Mormon bashers is your cult. Your obsession is your doctrine. Period. oooh looky I can say period too. /yawn

... and until then, Hinckleys lack of spiritual insight is duly noted. He was acting as a mere man during all of that episode; NOT as a Living Prophet® of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.

I love you brother..or sister. I really do....you need to see the Truth. It’s not where you are at now.
Funny thing is I mean that as well. And to me you really ARE my brother/sister.
You need to put down the blinders and hateful propaganda and consider the possibility that you are wrong. Many anti’s and even atheists (among other religions) have done it and found the true Church of Jesus Christ. Myself included. You are wasting your life with this stuff. Been there. Done that.
I can’t do it for you.

Ummm, what was wrong with the original one? Water damage? Graffiti? Faded in the sun? You Hateful and Bigoted Catholics removed some very 'plain and precious things' from the BIBLE before you passed it out to the rest of the world; but our beloved JS restored them!!

THE
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 89
Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, February 27, 1833. HC 1: 327329. As a consequence of the early brethren using tobacco in their meetings, the Prophet was led to ponder upon the matter; consequently he inquired of the Lord concerning it. This revelation, known as the Word of Wisdom, was the result. The first three verses were originally written as an inspired introduction and description by the Prophet.
19, Use of wine, strong drinks, tobacco, and hot drinks proscribed; 1017, Herbs, fruits, flesh, and grain are ordained for the use of man and of animals; 1821, Obedience to gospel law, including the Word of Wisdom, brings temporal and spiritual blessings.
1
A aWord OF Wisdom, for the benefit of the council of high priests, assembled in Kirtland, and the church, and also the saints in Zion
2 To be sent greeting; not by commandment or constraint, but by revelation and the
aword of wisdom, showing forth the order and
bwill of God in the temporal salvation of all saints in the last days
3 Given for a principle with
apromise, adapted to the capacity of the
bweak and the weakest of all
csaints, who are or can be called saints.
4 Behold, verily, thus saith the Lord unto you: In consequence of
aevils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of
bconspiring men in the last days, I have
cwarned you, and forewarn you, by giving unto you this
word of wisdom by revelation
5 That inasmuch as
any man adrinketh bwine or strong drink among you, behold it is not good, neither meet in the sight of your Father, only in assembling yourselves together to offer up your sacraments before him.
6 And, behold, this should be wine, yea,
apure wine of the grape of the vine, of your own make.
7 And, again,
astrong drinks are not for the belly,
but for the washing of your bodies.
8 And again, tobacco is not for the
abody, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill.
9 And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly.
10 And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome
aherbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man
11 Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with
aprudence and
bthanksgiving.
12 Yea,
aflesh also of
bbeasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used
csparingly;
13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be
aused, only in times of winter, or of cold, or
bfamine.
14 All
agrain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth;
15 And
athese hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.
16 All grain is good for the
afood of man; as also the
bfruit of the vine; that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground
17 Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.
18 And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments,
ashall receive
bhealth in their navel and marrow to their bones;
20 And shall
arun and not be
bweary, and shall walk and not faint.
21 And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the
adestroying angel shall
bpass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.

The Prophet Joseph Smith loved the Bible. He regularly read it, revered its teachings, and found divine truths in its writings.
I quite sure that he did; it just seems that SOMETHING got lost in the translation...
1 Timothy 3:2-3
2. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3. not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
1 Timothy 3:12
A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well.
Titus 1:6
An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
BEHOLD!!!! The Restorative Power of the Book of Mormon!!
THE BOOK OF JACOB
THE BROTHER OF NEPHI
CHAPTER 2
24 Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.
25 Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, I have led this people forth out of the land of Jerusalem, by the power of mine arm, that I might raise up unto me a righteous branch from the fruit of the loins of Joseph.
26 Wherefore, I the Lord God will not suffer that this people shall do like unto them of old.
27 Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none;
28 For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts.
29 Wherefore, this people shall keep my commandments, saith the Lord of Hosts, or cursed be the land for their sakes.
30 For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things.
31 For behold, I, the Lord, have seen the sorrow, and heard the mourning of the daughters of my people in the land of Jerusalem, yea, and in all the lands of my people, because of the wickedness and abominations of their husbands.
32 And I will not suffer, saith the Lord of Hosts, that the cries of the fair daughters of this people, which I have led out of the land of Jerusalem, shall come up unto me against the men of my people, saith the Lord of Hosts.

I have a first edition hard copy of Brody’s book. It was lent to me by a friend who died in a plane crash before I could return it! A few years ago, Delphi User—a particularly condescending Mormonism apologist who works threads at FR—responded to my quoting Brody by posting a long diatribe meant to assassinate her character. Turns out Delph only knew of her by what he’d been told by LDS inc. I sometimes wonder if he has done any real research himself. He does tend to focus upon his mission times and tout his superiority horn of late.
