SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Today religious leaders representing a wide spectrum of faiths and regions across California announced they are joining forces to defeat Proposition 23, the November ballot initiative that aims to overturn California clean air and clean energy law.
"Texas oil companies should not be trying to influence air quality standards in California. Attacking California's clean air laws will result in more children with asthma and more premature deaths due to air pollution," said Rev. Canon Sally Bingham, President of the California Interfaith Power and Light. "We have a moral responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us our children, the elderly, the poor who suffer the most from air pollution."

God would not be happy with you for lying. The only pollution standard that 23 affects is the one that labels CO2 as a pollutant.
The list is a lot longer, but it's no big surprise that the ELCA is at the top of the list.Members of Religious Leaders Advisory Committee to Defeat Proposition 23:
- The Rev. Mark W. Holmerud, Bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod, Lutheran (ELCA)
- The Rev. Dean W. Nelson, Bishop of the Southwest California Synod, Lutheran (ELCA)
Lutheran (EL C S*A) Ping!

Be rooted in Christ!
Genitalia worshipers are surely near the top of that list.
” Rev. Canon Sally Bingham, President of the California Interfaith Power and Light” and then you Californians wonder why alot of other states have such distain for you.
“Religious leaders” who know their employment situation won’t be affected.
No, they are not representing a wide spectrum of faith.
They are basically representing a wide spectrum of faith in anyone or anything besides Jesus and His Word.
California's faith-based electric company?
Rev. Canon Sally Bingham, President of the California Interfaith Power and Light. “We have a moral responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us our children, the elderly, the poor who suffer the most from air pollution.”
I voted for it, I only wish it was permanent and not temp.
....Imam Jihad Turk, Director of Religious Affairs, islamic Center of Los Angeles....
Boy, is that a “winning” name!!!!
And lookee here:
http://globalmbreport.org/?p=1630
....mPAC [muslim Pubilc Affairs Council] is an organization founded in Southern California in 1988 and was previously known as the muslim Pubic Action Committee of the islamic Center of Southern California [same as the islamic Center of Los Angeles]. Playing an important role in its founding was mPAC Senior Adviser Mather Hathout, an Egyptian physician and immigrant who most likely was imprisoned in 1965 for playing a role in the muslim Brotherhood at that time. Since its founding, mPAC has continued to act in concert with other U.S. muslim Brotherhood organizations while at the same time enjoying a favored position with the U.S. government.....
So this LA muslim Brotherhood-affiliated mosque and its public affairs arm has been infiltrating BOTH the “interfaith” environmental movement and the Federal Government! And—as usual—ELCA (and other liberal protestant and liberal Roman Catholic) mis-leaders are serving as islam’s useful idiots!!!!
The kiss of death, for me.
I choose my vote on candidates and issues based on who supports and who opposes them.
Religious leaders are right at the top of my list, right along with SEIU, career politicians, public employee unions of all stripes, and all groups whose sole financing is taxpayer dollars.
Been that way since I became an adult and grew up..
I wonder whether the good Rev. Canon believes that “the most vulnerable among us” includes the living but not yet born.
