Indeed demanding an end to discussions or trying to change the subject or focus is what the losing end of the argument does.
I find that to be a weakness not a strength.
Stand for what you believe, if it is true and good and right no words or actions will prevail and there is no need for safe harbor (or Mommy’s coattails).
