Many Christians as well, think THEY are Christian, merely because they have a picture of Jesus on their wall.

Very true and my point exactly. Christianity isn’t about trappings, rites, rituals or outward appearances, I claimed to be a Christian (and thought I was one) years before I actually became one.
It is about beliefs and a personal relationship with Christ. And Mormons, by their own theology and teachings, teach against that.
