Excellent post. IMO one reason many compare the decline of the
USA with that of Rome is probably Edward gibbon whose Decline
and Fall of the Roman Empire was published in the early years and much debated. But as far as the comparison of the Fall of the USA with ancient Israel that too has merit as we were established a Christian nation and our having grown fat mirrors the decline of Israel down to the high places on every street and our whoring after the fine things of other nations.
That is always the problem, isn’t it?
