SZ,
as a former mormon, you must know that there are not
answers.
Ultimately, after all the false chaff is winnowed out and
blown away, mormonism is a religious belief based on
subjective feelings.
Facts are completely unneeded.
Logic is unwelcome after the leaders have spoken.
Evidence, unnecessary.
And this despite the clear command to “Love the Lord Your God With ALL your Heart and Soul and MIND”
“Mormonism, no mind needed.”
Requirements: 1 bosom, willingness to pray for truth about things God has already told us the answers to, ability to suspend disbelief, logic, etc., desire to be a god. All done,
no doubt, with sincerity and lack of circumspection.
All that to say, there are no answers from mormonism.
None. Not even to God’s most basic revelation - that He
alone is God.
I pray for you, your wife, your son.
best,

Thanks for the prayers ampu.
If anything, the questions in the post “should” make some ponder about the dilemma presented.
As evidenced by some of the responses so far, there are those who just live in a constant of denial and insist on attempting to build strawmen.
Need to go pack the truck, taking the Scouts backpacking and fishing (going after some Golden Trout) this weekend.
Prayers for you and yours,
