IMHO the notion of the world-wide Anglican Communion, which began as a sort of fraternal tea party called every ten years by archbishop of Mother Church (foremost among equals), has become an unhealthy thing too heavily ingrained into the Anglican character. I speak from experience that it is very hard for a cradle Anglican to leave the wwAC even when the local situation makes remaining in it untenable. When I was still tracking events there I watched it tie the orthodox Anglicans (the vast majority) in knots trying to remain in communion with the heretics.
