Why would you suppose that, when Jesus said, “whoever does not hate his father or mother or brother is not fit to follow me.” Isn’t it far more suggestive that the bride’s family represents... her family?
I certainly think that far too many Christians fail to understand the ‘extreme’ priority Christ was marking out in that verse . . . the CENTRALITY AND ULTIMATE PRIORITY Father made CHRIST JESUS as the FULCRUM and FOCUS of all eternity and all the multi-verse.
