Sometimes Catholics write like Catholics. We understand what we mean. Maybe it’s just that I’m Catholic but I understood exactly what Mercat meant.
I talk to my dogs, my cat, my red sports car. If I want to talk to what I consider sacred “chunks of stuff” I’m going to talk to them. As long as I don’t sacrifice children in the fire to them I don’t see why that would offend anyone.
