I have a question. What does the resurrection have to do with the practice of not kneeling? Is this based on scripture. Thank-you for your response. :)=^..^=

I know of no scripture that addresses this issue.

The church held that in view of Christ’s *victory* over death. Easter (Pascha for Orthodox Christians) was thus a time of victory as opposed to a time of penance as in Lent.

Every Sunday is considered a “little Easter” hence, Nicea said no kneeling on Sundays.
