If you are referring to the controversy having to do with the DNA evidence, question of Asians coming over the land bridge to America, and other issues, the jury is still out.
There are still several unknowns. Such as whether there were other peoples already inhabiting the America continent at the time the “Book of Mormon” people arrived from the old Jerusalem. We do not even know where the events described in the Book of Mormon took place on the American continent. If you are interested, you can search out these topics in www.fairlds.org.

However, LDS where unsuccessful in finding any archeological record of the major civilizations and battles of the BOM there. So the hunt continues forever Southward. I believe they're down to Central America now…
