The painting is The Baptism of Christ by Aert de Gelder, a pupil of Rembrandt. He was considered one of the most talented of Rembrandt’s pupils. The painting was done in 1710.
Although many today believe it is evidence of UFOs close scrutiny of the original painting shows that the bright oval in the sky is really a dove surrounded by a large halo.
