A Wild Ass of a Man Posted on August 23, 2010 by billrandles

The Ground Zero Mosque controversy has many dimensions to it. For example there are political aspects involved, and of course religious tensions have emerged as well. The divide between left and right in this country has been exposed by it also. Finally, the rift between our own “ruling elite” and the rest of the country has been highlighted through this conflict.

But one aspect of this story has yet to be examined, to my knowledge. This episode is an illustration for all of the world to see of a specific Bible prophecy. An early prophecy given in the book of Genesis is being illustrated to those who have eyes to see. Here is the oracle;

The angel of the LORD also said to her: “You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” Genesis 16:11-12

This was the Word given to Ishmael , the son of Abraham, before his birth. It is the explanation for what we what we are seeing today in the otherwise inexplicable behaviour of the so called ‘muslim world’. The Ground Zero example is just one of thousands all over the world of how this this prophecy is being graphically being illustrated...

One of the greater tragedies of History, the loss of a Christian Middle East and Iran.

We can rely on current events or prophesy. They both tell the exact same story and track identically.

We can prophesy, or we can rely on prophecy.

On this, we concur. From this came Amalek

Amalek

Based on the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe
Courtesy of MeaningfulLife.com

The people of Israel journeyed... and they camped in Rephidim...

[Moses] named the place “Challenge and Strife” because of the strife of the people of Israel and their challenging of G-d, saying, “Is G-d amongst us or not?”

Then came Amalek and attacked Israel in Rephidim... (Exodus 17:1-8)

Remember what Amalek did to you on the road, on your way out of Egypt. That he encountered you on the way and cut off those lagging to your rear, when you were tired and exhausted; he did not fear G-d. Therefore... you must obliterate the memory of Amalek from under the heavens. Do not forget. (Deuteronomy 25:17-19)

The Jewish people had just experienced one of the greatest manifestations of divine power in history. Ten supernatural plagues had compelled the mightiest nation on earth to free them from their servitude. The sea had split before them, and manna had rained from the heavens to nourish them. How could they possibly question, “Is G-d amongst us or not”?

Yet such is the nature of doubt. There is doubt that is based on a rational query. There is doubt that rises from the doubter’s subjective motives and desires. But then there is doubt pure and simple: irrational doubt, doubt more powerful than reason. Doubt that neutralizes the most convincing arguments and the most inspiring experiences with nothing more than a cynical shrug.

Such was the doubt that left the Jewish people susceptible to attack from Amalek. Amalek, in the spiritual sphere, is the essence of baseless, irrational indifference. In the words of the Midrash:

What is the incident (of Amalek) comparable to? To a boiling tub of water which no creature was able to enter. Along came one evil-doer and jumped into it. Although he was burned, he cooled it for the others.

So, too, when Israel came out of Egypt, and G-d split the sea before them and drowned the Egyptians within it, the fear of them fell upon all the nations. But when Amalek came and challenged them, although he received his due from them, he cooled1 the awe of the nations of the world for them.2

This is why Amalek, and what he represents, constitutes the arch enemy of the Jewish people and their mission in life. As Moses proclaimed following the war with Amalek, “G-d has sworn by His throne; G-d is at war with Amalek for all generations.”3 Truth can refute the logical arguments offered against it. Truth can even prevail over man’s selfish drives and desires, for intrinsic to the nature of man is the axiom that “the mind rules over the heart” — that it is within a person’s capacity to so thoroughly appreciate a truth that it is ingrained in his character and implemented in his behavior. But man’s rational faculties are powerless against the challenge of an Amalek who leaps into the boiling tub, who brazenly mocks the truth and cools man’s most inspired moments with nothing more than a dismissive “So what?”

Yep,.... have been much aware of this even before their arrival here...it has played out as so in the ME amongst themselves for centuries as well as their neighbors and anywhere else they locate to. Only in the past few months has this small city I am in began to see they are arriving now here. It's always just a few to start and then they build from there. I wish I knew what we could say or do when this starts early as it is here.....before they start using our laws to make this into another Islamic foothold. How can we fight this locally?

Appreciated your reply. Now is there a scripture that says something to the effect that the end of the age will not come until the cup? of Amalek is full?

My own opinion is that the dividing line between the “cups,” the sour and the sweet, is becoming so tangible that there is no doubt of its existence. This is a war of faith, of good and of evil. Of conscience and utter lack thereof.
It can only end when evil is obliterated. When it says that all the nations of the world will align against Israel, I don’t think it means the state or the country or the land of Israel. It is the LAWS of Moses which distinguishes Israel as a spiritual entity and those who believe in it that they seek to destroy more than any other thing. It is what binds the leftists to islam. The goal is one and the same. To destroy our faith. To “murder” G-d.

Per post #10
Because G-D is FREEDOM. The “rules” are a guide to governing our personal selves. Without G-d we are all slaves to evil. The very concept of G-d could not have arisen without mind. Enslave the mind and you kill the G-d within each and every one of us.
It is one of the things that makes me chuckle when atheists challege the existence of G-d. They say they don’t believe, but then WHY do they know right from wrong and good from evil? Notice I did not say HOW do they know, but WHY do they know even if they had never learned a thing about G-d in their entire lives.
It’s just a pure mustery to them.

"The goal is one and the same"

Because ultimately there is one 'person' behind it.I think that that same person is going to use Islam to instill a dread of those who worship one God.The world hates Christians as it hated Christ and Paul says that (to the world)we have the stench of death.

When the jihadis really get cracking and bring down something that will rock people to their core, they will be more easily persuaded that that feeling of dread, fear and the stench of death is more than justified. Then the real "destroy our faith. To “murder” G-d." will begin in earnest.I suppose a lot of people will do it for fear of their very lives.Christians and Jews are going to be wildly unpopular.

Islam is usefull in that respect, the real target of course being Jews and Christians
