As a Jew I see no basis in traditional Jewish law for her opinion. I think she is abusing her religious title to provide moral authority to her political point of view.

It’s people like Rabbi Joy Levitt that will lead to the total cessation of American support for Israel. I cannot believe she is supporting the construction of the Ground Zero Muslim mosque or that she is offering support for a solution to the current state of controversy of this matter. Is she ignorant of the fact that their goal is world supremacy?
Thank G-d, I don’t think there is any realistic possibility that we will see a total cessation of American support for Israel. I believe it rarely has been higher, as clear-thinking Americans rally by its side against the bullying pressure exerted by Obama.
If Jews are going to offer their support to the Muslims then you can count on me dropping all my support for the struggles of Israel. I refuse to support Muslims or anyone who offers them aid!
Those running any JCC in the country are Reform or Conservative Jews and politically to the Left.

I have had it up to HERE with the Rabbi Joy Levitts of this world. “W” too, on this score. If anyone needs to be educated on Islam as the “Religion of Peace,” it’s not Jews and Christians, it’s Muslims. So, Rabbi, feel free to go do that, maybe in an Arab country even. Then come back to us, ok ?

This is not ‘NY JCC’, this is Joy Levitt, Executive Drector of the Jewish Community Center of the Upper West Side of Manhattan. JCCs are secular organizations, and Ms. Levitt is only incidentally a (fake) ‘rabbi’, kind of like those women RC ‘priests’.

I didn't get all that from a quick viewing of the interview but I'm not surprised. Isn't the Upper West Side of Manhattan still part of NY or did the Indians get it back somewhere along the way. :-)
Hehe, a lot of New Yorkers don’t claim the upper west side.
