Tarap, I am suprised at your question. A huge portion of the Tanakh is one story after another of the Israelites pursuing other gods. They are constantly punished for it. G-d refers to it as adultery. The Jews were exiled because of it.
The first two of the 10 commandments:
3 Do not have any other gods before me.
4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,
So yes, G-d takes it seriously. Jesus is not god in the flesh. That is heresy of the 1st order. Secondly, conversion to another religion spells the destruction of the Jewish people because their children will no longer be Jewish. If it were not for Orthodox Jews, the Jewish people would have died off long ago and there would be no Israel today, no Jews today. It is a miracle of G-d that the Jewish people are still here to fulfill G-ds purpose on earth.
Well Saul/Paul Matthew, Mark, Peter,James Mary of Magdela Mary and Joseph All the *First* Jews I guess are damned to soul destruction
If they believed that Jesus is god and worshipped him, that is a violation of the 1st and 2nd commandment. And they would be punished accordingly.
Blaster,,,
Great response, but that is not what I meant, or maybe I did not understand you correctly, and for that I apologize.
I thought you meant G-d would destroy a human being’s soul.
I am very interested in the *Soul* the Afterlife, Near Death Experiences and the world beyond the one we live so that is why I asked you that question.
I do understand now what you are saying....
Yes it is a *Miracle* Jews are still here! and that does show the Power of our Creator!
I don’t think the First Jews thought Jesus was G-d but that he was the Promised Messiah.
But could G-d become a Man? My answer is G-d can do anything he wants..Why? because he is G-d.
The only thing G-d cannot do from my perspective is be exposed to darkness...(Sin and Evil)
Blessings to you!
