When we look at the example of the O.T. Scriptures, there was no oral tradition passed down at the same time that was equal to what the scribes penned.... Not for David,.... Moses.... or any of the prophets..... So why should we think there would be for the church?.... God gave Moses the record and it was written down so there would be no discrepancies.....And least we forget when the Pharisees said their traditions were handed down Jesus challenged them.

Jesus in Mt. 23:3 tells his disciples to do whatever the scribes and Pharisees, sitting in Moses’ seat, bid them to do, yet not to follow the example of their conduct.
