Ok, this part of your statement I can understand. She truly stood out from all others. Obviously!

Others may not believe, but I choose to play it safe.

This part, I do not understand. Play what safe? Nowhere in the New Testament does Mary have anything to do with salvation that I know of. There is no mention of her by the Apostles that I can recall. I may be wrong.

I think you must mean other than being the mother of Jesus, the One who brings salvation.

I believe she has special power so I ask her to pray for me. If I am wrong, I lose nothing. If I am right, I gain something. Praying is the better choice.
