I don't know if you're being sarcastic but I tune into talk radio for political commentary and to learn things about politics. I don't tune in for stealth proselytizing, which is what it seems like Beck does.

No sarcasm intended. The mormon church requires its members to proselytize and my post was from the official mormon site describing that.

When Beck speaks of religion, he means HIS religion.

He has bought into the mormon meme that he s a "god in embryo" and very possibly a prophet in the manner of Joseph Smith, thus your comment..."but he views himself as some sort of modern day prophet and that oozes through his commentary."

God himself, the father of us all dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ."

I see. I knew something of that.....and that’s what I’m figuring is happening. Unfortunately, in the long run I think there’s a strong chance of him hurting the conservative movement if he continues to allow his mormonism to bleed too far into his show. Liberal blogs and commentators already use him as a “zealot” symbol of the rightwing.
