Scripture itself notes that many things that Christ Himself said and did were not contained in Scripture. There was certainly no problem with 100% purity or accuracy of any of that!

Holy Cow Quix. Are you suggesting that Christ may have uttered some statement not contained in scripture that was either not pure or not accurate????????????

Do you see where this silly adherence to prophecy has taken you? You are apparently willing to accept the errors of your Charismatic brothers when they purport to speak for God in error because Jesus may have spoken once or twice in error so it wasn't contained in the body of scripture.

I continue to believe that Jed hears from God and I continue to take his inputs to The Lord and ask The Lord what THE LORD would have me do with regard to applying them in my life and to what degree.

And what do you do with the false prophecies? Just pretend they are true? If he has presumed to speak for God on even one occasion and he was wrong, then he is a false prophet. Frankly I can't find a single one that he has posted on Free Republic that actually was true. And neither can you.

What can we conclude from that, Quix? That God is speaking through him, but that occasionally God gets it wrong?

THAT’S ABSURD.

Anyone who knows the least thing about me would know I would NOT believe such a thing.

My point was . . . . sheesh . . .

That NOT 100% OF ALL CHRIST’S WORDS AND DEEDS WERE PUT IN SCRIPTURE!

AND THERE WAS

CERTAINLY

NO

PROBLEM with HIS stuff being flawed.

Sheesh.

Please avoid making this worse than it is.

Sigh.

I think your personal cult experiences may be distorting and energizing you on this stuff way beyond what’s warranted.

because Jesus may have spoken once or twice in error so it wasn't contained in the body of scripture.

Let's back up a second and look at what was actually written:

[30] Many other signs also did Jesus in the sight of his disciples, which are not written in this book.

[31] But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.
-- John 20:30-31

____________________________________________________________

[24] This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things, and hath written these things; and we know that his testimony is true. [25] But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.
-- John 21:24-25

NOWHERE does St. John indicate that our Lord ever erred or said something false. On the contrary, the Apostle tells us that Jesus Christ performed many other signs that John did not write down because it would be IMPOSSIBLE for the world to even contain the books that would be required. St. John and the other Apostles wrote what was necessary for us to believe who He is so that we may have life through His Name.
