What you describe is the problem with the modern protestant church. They place too much emphasis on feelings, class, appearance, and not enough on the hard word of God. My neighbor won’t attend the church I go to because she prefers the praise music so much. But, when she recently became ill, guess who was with her in the hospital and calling and checking on her... not the oversized, wrong-focused, mega-praise music church’s pastor.

Btw, Baptist, and proud of it. What easier faith is there than “by Grace are you saved, it is a Gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Consistent truth, not ease, alights the narrow path. Christ was born into history. Despite a maelstrom of conflicting claims, true doctrine stands out by examining the historic Church.
