I don’t count nine, but there were several quakes on this map.

I think if you click on the earthquake list, it will tell you when and size.
That’s pretty normal - and I should know since I live in “earthquake country” - San Diego.
Your map shows that 2 of the quakes were over 7.0 - TWO only - the rest were all smaller and they’re called “aftershocks”.
About 100 miles from San Diego, we’ve been having days and days of earthquakes (two small 4.0’s happened just today). The largest was on Easter Sunday - and they still continue.
It does not signal the end of the world.
That’s very fascinating.
I’m not finding the list at the USGS site.
Maybe I’ll have to find the thread.
I don’t recall that it was the USGS site—it was likely another site . . . but there were 9 listed in a row and a bit of a distance from those 9 the 10th one in the South China Sea.
I wonder what the likelihood is of the powers that be dinking with the record quickly after the fact???
I counted 9 that day . . . and Joya noted them after I pointed it out to her, IIRC.
Still haven’t found that specific FR thread.
Odd.

It looks like a lot of them were downgraded to 6.X or some such.
