L.A.'s Pacific Electric didn't even have bar cars. You had to go to Chicago and ride the Chicago North Shore's 90 mph interurbans to Milwaukee to get a bar car during the evening rush.

Those Electroliner cars ended their careers on the Upper Darby-to-Norristown line outside Philadelphia -- minus bar facilities, unfortunately.
