Mormon Missionary Deception Method:
aMorePerfectUnion ^ | July 18,2010

Posted on 07/18/2010 4:27:06 PM PDT by restornu

Here it is again Resty, so you can pick out three things that are untrue. Any three. Mormon Missionary Deception Method:

1. Convince you of their sincerity 2. Trick you into expressing faith first in the Book of Mormon by praying and asking for a sign (this takes you off the objective ground of Biblical truth and puts you into subjective ground of feelings) 3. Convince you that the Bible has errors in its translation 4. Trick you into expressing faith in the prophet Joseph Smith 5. Trick you into expressing faith in the Restoration of the “Gospel” (see Galatians Chapter one) 6. Get you all the way into the baptismal font...

..........................................................

7. ONLY THEN... you will learn the true DEVIANT doctrines of Mormonism. At this point, it is too late! You only have feelings as a basis of truth! You will believe anything.

..........................................................

Such as the following “truths” taught in mormonism ...

The 3 Mormon Earth gods:

... The mormon “Heavenly Father” used to be a regular Joe, but became God - his name was Adam. Adam sinned. You will have to swallow that God could sin! ... The Jesus of mormonism was a created spirit being who became one of the three mormon earth gods ... The mormonic Holy Spirit is also a created spirit being. He doesn’t have a body because he is on probation! Yes, he was naughty. He sinned.

... In short, the mormon earth gods are fallen, sinful, created spirit beings.

... and there is more...

The FOURTH Mormon Earth God they don't like to talk about

... The Mormon Heavenly Mother God!

... Yes, it turns out there is a mormonic “Heavenly Mother God!”

... SHE and the father god have sex ... SHE is eternally pregnant ... SHE pops out spirit children who will some day get a human body on earth and can become gods themselves ... SHE is probably not the only godess! Mormons still believe and teach eternal polygamy - sister godesses

The Mormonic Pantheon of Trillions of gods:

... There are TRILLIONS of mormon gods on other planets. No one knows how many. It could be infinite. ... Hindus have approximately 350 million gods. They are pikers compared to mormons!

... How do they get so many gods? They manufacture more all the time:

... Any mormon male can be a God with his own planet, mother goddesses, and spirit kids to worship him. ... Becoming a mormon god means lots of works to attain the god-level. This is why you see mormons working so hard. Now you know why. They have to prove themselves worthy of godhood. ... All the trillions of gods in the mormon pantheon get together regularly over spring break in Kolob Beach to “counsel together”

What will your life be like as a mormon?

... you have to give 10%? - if not, no top level of heaven for you! ... your bishop is there to ask if you gave your FULL tithe - he may ask to see your pay stubs ... your bishop is also there to ask many probing, personal, embarrassing questions ... you will have to complete Masonic Temple rituals that involve strangers touching your private parts ... You will have to wear magic underwear 24/7/365

Once inside the Morg, you have to accept it ALL to move up the chain towards Godhood. This is just the start!

The Catholic church sure doesn't accept Mormons as Christians, if that is why you two are using your claims of being Catholic to defend and promote their religion.

From CATHOLIC ANSWERS:
Q: I read recently that the Catholic Church had rejected Mormon baptism, since their view of Christ and the Trinity is so unusual. But I have to ask: Are Mormons considered separated brothers and sisters? While their views are strange to say the least, they are still separated, and we should reach out to them. If we view them as something other than separated, doesn't that exclude ecumenism? I know that many view them as a cult, but aren't cult members separated as well?

A: "The reason Mormons are not considered separated brethren is not because they aren't "separated" from the Church-they are-but they aren't "brethren" in the sense required.

The phrase separated brethren refers to those who, though separated from full communion with the Catholic Church, have been justified through baptism and are thus brethren in Christ. The Decree on Ecumenism (Unitatis Redintegratio) of Vatican II teaches that "all who have been justified by faith in baptism are members of Christ's body, and have a right to be called Christian, and so are correctly accepted as brothers by the children of the Catholic Church.

Because Mormonism is polytheistic and rejects the Trinity, Mormon baptism is not valid, and Mormons are not considered separated brethren. For the same reason, outreach to them, while certainly a good thing, is not ecumenism, though it can include dialogue and social cooperation as well as efforts to evangelize them."

"I dont claim to know much of Mormon doctrine, but if this post is even remotely accurate then Mormonism is a far cry from Christianity, yet they amazingly are portrayed as very similiar."

This has the same sort of accuracy as describing Christians as ritual cannibals. Or like believing what Osama Bin Laden says about the USA. To find out what Mormons believe, you need to read what they (we) teach and believe. Roman Catholics and Mormons differ on a LOT of things, but we agree that Jesus is the Christ. Is he entirely spirit, entirely man, or a combination of the two? Most Catholics would say, I think, entirely spirit. I say "most" because some folks who claim they're Catholics also support abortion "rights" despite their church's teachings on that subject. We have Mormons like that, as well. Harry Reid comes to my mind, in that respect. Most Mormons believe he has both human and spirit components. Read the Book of Mormon, compare it to the Bible. Pray about it. See what you get. This is, IIRC, one area where Catholics and Baptists agree. Back in the days before the Protestant Reformation, Catholics declared any deviation from their doctrine as heresy, and they killed people for it. I'm sure you've heard the same about Mormons, and some of it may even be true. See what I said about Harry Reid, above. And kindly note that I'm not an official representative of the Church. This is my opinion, based on what I know, and bear in mind that I am 55 years old, and have been a Mormon for only about 15 years.

This is from the Douay-Rheims version: James 1:5

But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men abundantly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The King James version, which Mormons also use is very close:

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Either way, sure looks like "giving in to feelings" to me.

If you really would like to know what Mormons believe, our scriptures are online at http://scriptures.lds.org/

This is a pretty concise statement of what we believe about Jesus Christ:

http://www.lds.org/languages/proclamations/livingchrist/start_here_0.pdf

This is where most of the rest of the material we use for Sunday School is located. None of this is secret, or hidden.

http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?locale=0&vgnextoid=2b6f3c7ff44f2010VgnVCM1000001f5e340aRCRD

Hope this helps you make up your mind about what you want to believe about Mormons.

It is VERY accurate. I was 16 and lied to about LDS doctrine and beliefs only to find out a WHOLE NEW SET of beliefs when I was ‘dunked’ (I won’t use the term baptized) LDS right after my 18th Birthday.

I studied what I was given and thought I knew it well, and did know more than MOST converts (the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great price), but it was STILL a shock to find out what they REALLY believed.

The pattern AMPU listed is EXACTLY what they do. That is part of why I speak out against Mormonism as strongly as I do.

I was thinking why she would say this about LDS. It is interesting that they describe themselves here from their own book.

I Nephi 14: 3 And that great apit, which hath been digged for them by that great and abominable church, which was founded by the devil and his children, that he might lead away the souls of men down to hell—yea, that great pit which hath been digged for the destruction of men shall be filled by those who digged it, unto their utter destruction, saith the Lamb of God; not the destruction of the soul, save it be the casting of it into that bhellwhich hath no end.

HOGWASH (I can’t type what I really want to say).

Temple rituals aren’t public. Most of the ‘unique’ doctrines are not in the Book of Moron, most converts don’t hear or are asked to pray about the D&C or PGP nor are they told they can become Gods someday (what EXALTATION/SALVATION REALLY MEANS). They aren’t told about the practice of ‘lying for the Lord’ (which I was taught at the LDS MISSIONARY TRAINING CENTER AND AT BYU), they aren’t told about the PGP scrolls being found and debunked, they aren’t told about ‘eternal preganancy’, that Young (and OTHER LDS PROPHETS) taught tauht ADAM was our God and we needed Joe Smith’s permission to get into the Celestial kingdom, THAT JESUS WAS A POLYGAMIST AND GOD WAS MARRIED TO MARY and I can go on and on and on.

EAK, check out what the LDS say, but ALSO check out sites like the following that are WELL documented and very accurate.

Why do you think that makes us NOT Christians? Do you know the formal name of our church? The whole point is to acknowledge Jesus as the Christ. Why why doesn’t your church have his name as part of its name?

When I was a Baptist, I learned a term for trying to prove a certain point by careful selection of scripture to present. “Cherry-picking.” Have you read all the other stuff surrounding those you’ve posted here? If not, I’d suggest you do. Then pray about it. If that doesn’t change your mind, then it doesn’t. I must admit that I really didn’t expect it to change mine.

I think many know today we are living through it!

So, are you saying the Christian world "knows not what awaits", but the mormon world does? And is that THIS?

The Prophecy of Joseph Smith

We are fast approaching that moment prophesied by Joseph Smith when he said:

Even this Nation will be on the very verge of crumbling to pieces and tumbling to the ground and when the constitution is upon the brink of ruin this people will be the Staff up[on] which the Nation shall lean and they shall bear the constitution away from the very verge of destruction. [In Howard and Martha Coray Notebook, July 19, 1840, quoted by Andrew F. Ehat and Lyndon W. Cook, comps. and eds., The Words of Joseph Smith (Provo, Utah: Religious Studies Center, Brigham Young University, 1980), p. 416]

Link

Who do you think "this people" refers to?

For that neighbor to deceive others by pretending to be a Christian religion when they are not, harm is done.

Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.

- - - - -
YOU ARE KIDDING, RIGHT?!?!?! Having the name “Jesus Christ” in the name of the Church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than putting ‘auto repairs’ on the side of your garage makes you an auto mechanic.

The LDS believe in an ENTIRELY Different JESUS Christ (created, earned godhood, probably married, spirit brother of LUCIFER, could be fooled) than Christians do (Eternal, Creator, sinless, ALWAYS GOD, omniscient). Even Hinkley agreed with the statement that the LDS believe in a different Christ.

And that is JUST the begning. However, I will start praying that your eyes will be opened to the Christ of the Bible, because every unique LDS can be DISPROVED using the Bible.

And grey knows ALL to well why the LDS are NOT Christians.

I am exmormon, OS...I've heard and studied it all. I've heard the words spoken for years that mormonism is, as you say, "superior" to all other faiths.

Do you have any idea how early mormons, all the way through McConkie vilified Christians? That is why I know mormons are not Christians..the very foundation of mormonism was based on being "non-Christian" and continued until just recently.

Condemnation of Christianity by mormon leaders:

"Apostle George Q. Cannon (1827 - 1901):

"After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christendom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common origin. They all belong to Babylon."
-    Apostle George Q. Cannon, Gospel Truth, p. 324

Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith (1876 - 1972):

"Doctrines were corrupted, authority lost, and a false order of religion took the place of the gospel of Jesus Christ, just as it had been the case in former dispensations, and the people were left in spiritual darkness."
Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, v. 3, p. 266

"For hundreds of years the world was wrapped in a veil of spiritual darkness, until there was not one fundamental truth belonging to the place of salvation ...Joseph Smith declared that in the year 1820 the Lord revealed to him that all the ‘Christian' churches were in error, teaching for commandments the doctrines of men."
-    Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, v. 3, p. 282

Apostle Bruce R. McConkie (1915 - 1985):

".the Book of Mormon remains secure, unchanged and unchangeable, ...But with the Bible it was not and is not so....it was once in the sole and exclusive care and custody of an abominable organization [Christianity], founded by the devil himself, likened prophetically unto a great whore, whose great aim and purpose was to destroy the souls of men in the name of religion. In these hands it ceased to be the book it once was."

-    Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, The Joseph Smith Translation, pp. 12, 13

“Believers in the doctrines of modern Christendom will reap damnation to their souls.”
-    Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, see pp. 45-46

“... all the millions of apostate Christendom have abased themselves before the mythical throne of a mythical Christ.... in large part the worship of apostate Christendom is performed in ignorance, as much so as was the worship of the Athenians who bowed the Unknown Gods.”
-    Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, pp. 269, 374-375

Prophet Ezra Taft Benson (1899 - 1994):

"This is not just another Church. This is not just one of a family of Christian churches. This is the Church and kingdom of God, the only true Church upon the face of the earth..."
-    Prophet Ezra Taft Benson, Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 164-165

Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley (1910 -  ):

“We accept that as a statement which came to him [Joseph Smith's vision in which he was told all other religions were "abominations"], which is printed, of course, and published in his history as a statement. But we go forward with a friendly relationship, with a respect for people everywhere and with an effort to accept them as we meet them and, where opportunity exists, to talk with them and explain to them what we believe.... We don’t criticize them for what they believe. We accept the good that comes of that understanding which they have, but we feel we having something to offer beyond what they have.”
-    Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, interview with Richard Ostling, as quoted in Mormon America, by Richard and Joan Ostling, p. 323

“God is not at its head, making that church [i.e., Christianity] – following the appearance in it of Satan – no longer the church of God. To say that Satan sits in the place of God in Christianity after the time of the apostles is not to say that all that is in it is Satanic.”
-    Kent P. Jackson, “Early Signs of Apostasy,” Ensign, December 1984, p. 9

So, tell me, is it important to YOU personally, to be called Christian?

I take no personal relief in the exposure of the foundation of Mormonism....none whatsoever....it actually makes me sad and it makes me shake my head how such outlandish propaganda has been successful....

of course, any belief system that automatically demotes one gender, or one race, into lower "classes" AND actually gives "God" given rights for young girls to be taken as sexual objects by middle aged or old men, well....that is quite the entirement to men..

that enticement has lead to the exponential growth of Mormonism....

but I have to say I know mostly all nice, good, value based Mormons....a few lazy drinkers and cheaters types, but they are in the minority in my circle..I share many of the attitudes of practicing Mormons.....marriage,family,citizenship, frugality, etc....

its sad to me is that they belong to a religion that is not Christ centered...and I wonder if the one true God will look at the behaviour and not the propaganda when HE judges..since I believe in a Loving God, I think HE will....
