What are you saved from and when do you know you are for sure?

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

That a professing Christian would ask this question is very troubling...

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23. I am saved from God's wrath. I am saved from the Law, which can only condemn, and never save. I am saved from an eternal separation from God, because of sin.

And when do you know you are for sure?

When Jesus Christ died to sin so did I, the moment I trusted in His finished work on Calvary.

"I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." (Gal. 2:20).

"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." (Col. 3:3).
