Is Alberta Premium Rye any good? I found a Rye with which I made the best mint juleps ever. So I’m interested in exploring Ryes.

Gee I would enjoy trying to make a good whiskey.

My favorite is Hirsch 25 Year Old. I would really like to try to make it in a small batch process like it is made, but I just don't have the patience or life expectancy to wait 25 years....

Since I am not aware of it being sold outside Canada, you might have to go some distance for it. When I was drinking, it was my favourite. But alas, SE Iowa is some distance from the True North Strong and Free (and now the best economy in the Western Hemisphere - and I moved here...). Check out your particular rye and see how much is cut with cheaper corn. Pure rye whisky is very very good. I'd put it about on a par with barley (Irish and Scotch).
