That I cannot disagree with. Catholics serve Caesar best by serving God first. Without turning a blind eye to it or conspiring to exploit those motivated by poverty and circumstance to enter the country illegally we need to make sure our country adopts policies that honor God.

We honor our nation best by living our Catholic/Christian faith honestly and vigorously, and bringing it without apology into the public square and its debates. We're citizens of heaven first. But just as God so loved the world that he sent his only son, so the glory and irony of the Christian life is this: The more faithfully we love God, the more truly we serve our country.

Exactly right. Which is why Roman Catholic churches and bishops in this country advocate their unhindered and immediate citizenship.
