Not recognize?

So; the Apostles didn't recognize Jesus after all that time. The Scriptures are there for all the heathen and pagan to read. Too bad it doesn't really appeal to the heretics.

So then it was one of your own heretical Catholics that posted that item??? I only copied what was posted by the Catholic...

When the two disciples encountered Jesus on the road to Emmaus, as told in Luke, after hearing them speak of the events in Jerusalem, Jesus then "interprets to them the things about himself in all the Scriptures", yet it is not until the "blessing and breaking of the bread" that their eyes were opened and they recognized him.

But regardless, what about the scripture that you seem to be referring to???

Luk 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. Luk 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

What? Don't tell my you are wrong again...Bible says they didn't recognize Jesus because their eyes were holden...

Luk 24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

And then your fellow Catholic tells us that they recognized Jesus when they saw Him in the Eucharist...

So the scripture lied to us again and your religion got it right???

Jesus messed with their eyes so they could not recognize Him and then later He opened their eyes just before He left...It had nothing to do with bread and wine...

All you have to do is believe what you read...

Read the Scripture. It quite clearly says that though He walked with them speaking and interpreting Scripture to them they did not know him until the blessing and breaking of the bread.

Yes, their eyes were blinded to who He was, but why does God blind them to who Jesus is as He is reciting Scripture to them? Tell me, why does God open their eyes when Jesus blesses and breaks the bread? And, why does Jesus vanish at the very moment after blessing and breaking the bread and giving it to them to eat?

Scripture clearly says that they saw Him and knew Him after He blessed the bread, broke it and gave it to them to eat.
Exactly as He had done at the Last Supper, exactly as is done in every Mass.

Scripture cannot lie, I never said it did, it is a misinterpretation on the part of those who reject Christ in the Eucharist.

Really? I posted a substantial excerpt of John. You post back what you have as a competing and opposing excerpt of Luke. Different circumstances. Different incident. Or are you saying that when Luke fits your bill, John is eliminated?

That is what the Lucan verse you just posted says. When you guys make it all up as you go along, you guys so frequently get it wrong. Or perhaps God is blinding eyes so that they do not even realize what they post.

All you have to do is believe what you read...

First you actually have to read it...
