He was saying that about the Scriptures I posted, not about me personally (I trust). They're allowed to do that here on this “open” thread. They can hurl all sorts of epithets they want about the Church or about Catholics in general as long as they don't “get personal” with an individual FReeper “by name”.
Giant loophole which permits all sorts of bigotry, but those are the rules on the “open” threads, so we're stuck with them.

You'll notice he didn't address a single Scripture that was posted. He replied with an epithet an image of a monstrance, designed to hold the Most Holy Sacrament for adoration. But I suppose they would find that “blasphemous”, too. It's like a double hit coming at them, a statue of Mary on the altar containing what they consider to be merely a piece of bread. It's going to make their heads spin wondering if we're adoring the “bread” or the statue, or both at the same time!
