Nor am I, but I know any personal opinion of Brother Martin to the effect that there was a purgatory, never made it into the Lutheran Confessions.

NL: if your earlier contention is that Lutherans believe Mary was sinless or Immaculately Conceived, that would be in error.

That’s a good one.

Lutherans no longer believe what Luther believed.

They have changed with the prevailing winds, just like all protestant churches do.
