” I have never met a RC that has a regular Bible study, or Bible group, at their home.”

Either a total lie, or you know almost no Catholic families.

Most members of the parish I belong to go to regular Bible study. They often will use great thinkers like Thomas Aquinas and his work to delve deeply into the Gospels they hear at daily Mass and they also look at how the Old Testament readings (plural) they hear daily relate to the Good News.

How about great thinkers at the Bible study? Perhaps there is someone there who has in independent thought that the group could reflect on. Or at the end of the study, does everything get tied up in a neat Mass or Thomas Aquinas bow?
