Sometimes, I think this white hanky comes down and shields the text from their eyes . . .

then who knows what spiritual influences give them the

“NONSENSE FOR THE DAY”

or the

“NONSENSE FOR THE MOMENT”

via some sort of other dimensional Vatican Mind Meld, most likely, from the nether world.

AND!
Given that so many seem to
ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT,

I’m sure they have all sorts of sophistry to explain it. Even if we were to accept, for argument sake, that Mary was without original sin, “all-holy” seems like a term that should be designated only for God (or a goddess).

INDEED.

Likewise, God did not exempt Mary from Original Sin. To believe any creature is sinless is heresy and a blasphemy against the only sinless man, Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

It is a simple thing - Physical death is the consequence of original sin. Mary died. End of story.

INDEED.

well, yes. We’re arguing with what we thought were a bunch of Protestants, but now it seems that they are not, as they do not even believe in the basic Christian concepts like the Trinity

Those who would reject the existence on one holy catholic and apostolic (which, for me is found in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches) find themselves in a tight spot when pinned down abou the basics.

At some level they know they need to align with the Christologic definitions that the councils delivered. At least, for me, when I actually read the councils, they proclaimed what I had been taught about who Jesus was (and was not).

I had no clue, until I began studying, that the questions were settled hundreds of years ago and that the answers were what I already believed. Of course, by then, I was honestly and passionately seeking - not defending a position.

You stated in an earlier post that you would happily attend any non-Catholic group.

Taking you up on that, I ask you:
1. would you attend a Lutheran service where they have all the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, kneeling, icons, crucifixes, etc?

2. would you attend a Word-of-Faith pentecostal service where they have “pastr” Kenneth Hagin who wrote that God “made us in the same class of being that he is himself,” or Creflo Dollar who said “Gods. Little “g” gods. You’re not human. Only human part of you is this flesh you’re wearing.”

I don't have a post number for you, I was responding to Quix' post.

So, why exactly would Quix claim that Mary is the mother of God the Father?

That is blasphemous -- the Church teaches that Mary is the Mother of God the Son, Jesus Christ and yet she was also created by Him

You agree that Incarnate Word = Jesus Christ = God, the Son, right?

Hence the term Mother of God, the Son is logically, factually and spiritually correct.

So, was that a yes or a No — “could” doesn’t cut it — remember, I specifically asked you if you would worship in a Lutheran church will all the True Presence, incense, kneeling, crucifixes, icons and the like.

I see it is Thursday.

That Luther died of old age, fat and rich, belies the modern Protestant storyline that the Church was an omnipotent Machiavellian syndicate with KGB like hit squads.

The only thing it belies is the fake omnipotence angle. All else was true of the Catholic corruption at the time. The secular power of the CC was broken and had to be broken for the sickness that had invaded it. Because it couldn't remain faithful the world suffered.

"However, you may be confused since it is the RCC which believes muslims are saved..."

Do all OPC'ers lie or only the few we bump into on FR? Are you capable of telling the truth about the Church or do you not understand the difference between having a path to Salvation, which all have, and actually navigating that path?

"A Lutheran service is not a Roman Catholic service. "

Does that mean you hate Lutherans only 90% as much as you hate Catholics?

"First of all, it is not a claim that the Bible contains all knowledge. The Bible is not exhaustive in every detail."

It does not contain all knowledge in the sense that it does not tell us what Paul ate for breakfast or if Jesus was left handed.

It certainly DOES contain ALL the knowledge we need for salvation.

John 20:30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

What are you TALKING about???

The tape was made on August 2nd and released on August 3rd.

The so called "edit" you refer to says "3-8-10" which is AUGUST 3, NOT MARCH 8. You've got it backwards, dear.

LISTEN to it.
The guys says "this was taped YESTERDAY, AUGUST 2"

"...or we’ll be forced to accept the documentation Old Reggie provided."

Forced? No one forces you to do anything. If you reject the truth you are doing so of your own volition.

For those honest enough to seek the truth my substantiation can be found at: The Code of Canon Law
