There are some words you don’t seem to recognize: “Only Begotten Son” John 1:18, Acts 13:33,John 3:16 and
John 1;12 But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the SON’S Of GOD.

I am old and perhaps my eyes are failing me but I dont find Trinity or Triune in the Bible. Did I miss something?
Another awful thing about Mormons, BYU has won the title again for being the #1 Stone Cold Sober” school. I don’t expect accolades, but isn’t it is a good thing?

“There are some words you don’t seem to recognize: “Only Begotten Son” John 1:18, Acts 13:33,John 3:16 and

As a reader of New Testament Greek, I not only know the words in English, but also in Greek. The passages do not say Jesus is a created being.

Jesus is literally “the unique God” or “the only begotten God” (monogen theos; cf. monogenous, “the one and only” in v. 14). The Apostle closes the loop in this passage by returning to John 1:1 - Jesus is God. Jesus is at the Father’s side, revealing the nature of the invisible God.

His position is spoken about. The passage does not in any way mean Christ was a created being... though the mormons have told you this.

“But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the SON’S Of GOD.”

“Sons” refers to the position of Christians. It does not mean they will become gods.

“I am old and perhaps my eyes are failing me but I don’t find Trinity or Triune in the Bible.”

First, the word Bible isn’t in the Bible, yet you just used it. :-)

Second, I referred to the triune nature of God - Father, Son, Spirit are all three revealed to have the full attributes of God. God also reveals He is ONE God, not three.

A better question for your eyes would be to search the Bible and find out where God ever says there are other gods (not idols). Think this through carefully before responding.

“Did I miss something?”

Yes, you did lawsone. I fear you are so busy with taking the leaders’ word for things that you haven’t started with the Bible to see what it says. It says there is ONE God.

“Another awful thing about Mormons, BYU has won the title again for being the #1 Stone Cold Sober” school. I don’t expect accolades, but isn’t it is a good thing?”

In what way is it a good thing? Schools are not Christians. Only people can be Christians. Christians shouldn’t be drunk. Beyond that, it simply means there are a lot of people who are legalistically following a path that does not lead to the grace of God.

In short, it has nothing to do with much of anything, unless you are a beer distributor... :-)

best,
ampu
