The point is that it is accurate to generalize that atheism means liberal, we do that with lesbians and homosexuals too.
Put another way, you can’t debunk atheism by arguing against liberalism, and vice versa. Just as you can’t debunk belief in god by arguing for big government. This should be pretty obvious.
