What was the SHAPE

of the craft?

How large was it?

It sounds like a fairly typical case.

I suspect that IF they had THOUGHT some specific thing about the craft moving to the right or left . . . it might well have done so in response.

Also, it would be interesting to enquire about whether they FELT any particular sensations in their body.

And, did they have ANY THOUGHTS which may have not been all that typical of them.

Also, did they feel any particular sensation or feeling “come over them” as though an intangible blanket descending on them?

The dog’s response was quite exceptional. There’s often barking etc. However, about as often or more so is cowering and running and hiding. Many times, the animals appear to be frozen, immobile—sometimes in mid-step or mid-bark.

Were there any unusual smells?

Sounds like they perceived it to be utterly silent—which is also very common. Sometimes there’s a low frequency hum.

Sometimes, there’s a kind of ‘ionizaton’ sound and smell.

THX THX.

Much appreciate your responses.

I should copy and file this into a FREEPER file of such.

I’d have a thick file by now if I’d been doing it from the beginning. Sigh.

Dear brother in Christ, I couldn't answer your last without speaking with B first. We had a lovely conversation last night regarding his "UFO" experiences (plural). I have more regarding what I wrote at Post 126. These are new details, with a couple corrections from my last.

[I'm putting your questions/observations in italics. B's/my answers are in roman face.]

Q.: What was the SHAPE of the craft? How large was it?

bb: From B's perspective, this was not immediately a case of "shape" or "large." He was reluctant to describe this aspect, and I didn't press him. He prefers to make descriptions.

What he described was this: He and his father and dog were having a stroll on the sand flats of Scussett Beach at low tide, at around 2 – 2:30 A.M. of a midsummer's morning. It was a New Moon: Yet he said that night was amazingly illuminated just from starlight.

Directly across from Scussett Beach, some 18 miles to the east, is Provincetown, Massachusetts. The arm of Cape Cod curves around, partly enclosing Cape Cod Bay; and Provincetown is located at its "fist."

I mention this, because B gave me the description of his "close encounter" as follows:

B and his dad noticed a tiny point of red/magenta light, surrounded by some sort of bright corona, that seemed to be emanating from the environs of P-Town.

The next thing they knew, this teensy point was as "big as a ship" — and in their very faces. B said it only took a second or two for it to traverse the distance from P-Town to where they stood. And then, there it was, holding off some 25 yards distant from them, hovering above the waters, shining its light on them.

It gets peculiar from here. But that's probably only because my hubbie insists on seeing through his own eyes before he agrees with anything.

B noticed that, whatever this phenomenon was, it was casting a shadow, even under conditions of starlight only. He told me that this gave him reasonable confidence that the "thingy" had mass of some kind.

So what did B do??? Well, he reached down for a hefty rock. He wanted to know what would happen if he were to throw a stone at it. I gather this was a test of cause and effect.

At this point, Buck the dog was fully engaged in defensive measures. It seems, however, when B picked up the stone to test his curiosity, Buck calmed down. The "thingy" then took off in a vertical direction with astonishing velocity — straight UP — and disappeared almost instantly.

Q: It sounds like a fairly typical case.

bb: I'm no judge of what is "typical," when it comes to UFOs.

Q: I suspect that IF they had THOUGHT some specific thing about the craft moving to the right or left . . . it might well have done so in response.

bb: I asked B if he had at any time a sense that his mind was moving the object, or vice versa. He said: NO.

Q: Also, it would be interesting to enquire about whether they FELT any particular sensations in their body.

bb: That's a negative.

Q: And, did they have ANY THOUGHTS which may have not been all that typical of them.

bb: Nope. That's a negative too. Quite the contrary.

Q: Also, did they feel any particular sensation or feeling “come over them” as though an intangible blanket descending on them?

bb: No.

Q: The dog’s response was quite exceptional. There’s often barking etc. However, about as often or more so is cowering and running and hiding. Many times, the animals appear to be frozen, immobile—sometimes in mid-step or mid-bark.

bb: B says Bucky did not behave that way at all. The only time he appeared to be "immobile" about anything was the same time B and his Dad were "immobile": When the "thingy" went straight up into the heavens and almost instantaneously disappeared. It took a minute or so to digest this, I gather. Then the trio headed for the beach at a high rate of speed....

Q: Were there any unusual smells?

bb: No.

Q:Sounds like they perceived it to be utterly silent—which is also very common. Sometimes there’s a low frequency hum.... Sometimes, there’s a kind of ‘ionizaton’ sound and smell.

bb: Whatever the "thingy" was, it was totally silent. And it did not emit any odor.

I asked B if at any time he thought he was in the presence of Evil. He said: No: If anything, the opposite.

So, the above should bring the record up to date.... at least so far as this particular UFO sighting is concerned.

I'm way out of my field here. But am enjoying the conversation.... Thank you so much for writing, dear Quix!
