Beloved.
It is the day of mercy, Friday, the day when death was upended, when the end was turned into a beginning. When the tragedy of the Fall was “perfected” (as one might paradoxically say) in the obscenity of the cross — but so perfected, so BEYOND perfection, that sadistic cruelty opened a door in the Universe into which mercy and love could flood.
That’s the best description of FRIDAY that I’ve heard in a long time!
