Was Babel Humanity’s first attempt at One-World Government?
Most definitely!!!
Remember, God destroyed Babel because of what they would do if he did not stop them. I had always thought that if God hadn’t stopped them, this world would have needed to face destruction before the fullness of time. God stopping them has allowed us today to come into his kingdom, along with many though out the ages before us.
I also think often of how Jesus came to an age where there was no photography. That was also planned.
God didn’t destroy Babel. He punished them by confounding their speech after they built the tower from which Nimrod fired an arrow from his bow at God. Those that could understand each other parted ways from the others.
