In a statement issued by Liberty University Friday, a panel of four trustees announced they had found that Ergun Caner, dean of the seminary at the Lynchburg, Virginia, school, had made "self-contradictory" statements about "dates, names and places of residence" in his public talks following the events of September 11, 2001. He also claims his son's name "Braxton" is "warrior" in the Maori tongue. However, a friend from New Zealand who I asked about it says no, "hori" is "warrior" in Maori. Paul warned of this happening to leaders of the faith.
This is sad. The leadership of Liberty should fire Caner, and if they do not he should resign. I noticed at Liberty’s site that Caner is listed as Professor of Global Apologetics - give me a break!
I don’t know if a “Possum Kill, NC” exists or not, unless it is one of those folklore places like B.F. Egypt. There is, however a “Lizard Lick, NC” not far from Raleigh, NC.
