There are two obvious features of the Grand Canyon that show it couldn't have been formed by a flood. Its large scale dendritic structure, and its meandering path.

Contrast this with the Scablands of the Spokane Flood, which has a very different aspect.

It is a great book...(Walt Brown’s book). I have bought and given away several of them and have used it while teaching. Strongly recommend reading it.
