No source Resty. NONE.

And his words show that the LDS have absolutely NO concept of the Trinity but rather think (erroneously) that the trinity is monarchal modalism which is not true in the least and a heresey condemned early on.

So, his words are STILL WRONG and so is the LDS.

Do I REALLY need to post my sun analogy again, Resty? Sigh.

But if they INSIST, I will polish off a whole full-bottle in three (ok TWO) days. Whatever.

LOL. We are on our second bottle tonight (we had red and then silly me I fixed fish for supper so now it is white).

Drink what you like, damn the so called rules of white vs. red. A good light red (like Syrah) will go great with fish or chicken.

Whah! I’m counting calories since I can’t run for the duration so wine is a treat for me.

Still no response from V on the question.

I attend a non denomination church. I used to attend a Calvary Chapel in CA, that was the closest I have ever been to a denomination since leaving Mormonism.

Just how do they view the Crucifixion?

An after thought.

It was REALLY the agony in the garden, withthe drops of SWEAT like blood, that atoned for us.

Come on Resty, turn about is fair play. Pick a “mainstream” Christian belief and tear it up. I can take it.

Hi caww, no reluctance as far as I am concerned.

-= - - - -
Then why don’t the LDS wear or use Crosses? Why do they remove most references to the Cross in their hymns? Why do I have LDS CRINGE at me when they see the big Cross I wear? Why is there never any real praise for the Cross? WHY NORM?

Because the LDS basically denigrate Christ sacrifice on it.

When one is behaving less then they should be it might seem that way (which is not true the other does not hold that view) and that feeling for most folks feel wash over them telling them that they are out of line!

You've opened the wine too early!

Hi T,

I think if you read the Book of Mormon you would find quite the opposite — Jesus Christ is mentioned constantly. The whole purpose of the book is to persuade people to believe in Christ repent of their sins and to follow Him.

For example, the book teaches that Christ is the creator of all things, and testifies of his divinity, of His virgin birth, His miracles, His sufferings, death and resurrection and second coming.

It is a companion volume to the Bible and helps clear up some of the confusion that exists in the Christian world regarding points of doctrine.

I think it is a marvelous book and I have been greatly blessed as I have read, studied and pondered its teachings and tried to live the principles taught in its pages.

Best,

Normandy
