Mormonism is in direct contradiction to the Bible.

Not in my experience, reaganaut. We may have agree to disagree on that point.

Best,

The only unforgiveable sin is dying without putting your faith in Christ, because then it's too late.

Being a latecomer, I love the parable of the vineyard workers, in which even the ones who signed on at the 11th hour got exactly the same wages as the ones who hired on early in the day:

Matthew 20:1-15

I'm one of those to whom Jesus said, "Why are you standing around all day doing nothing?", LOL! So now I work in His vineyard and I have been promised exactly the same wages as those who hired on early in their lives. No trailer-park, consolation prize, pseudo heaven for moi!

I have been a Mormon for over ten years and never one time have I heard another Mormon condemn non Mormons to hell.
______________________________________

Now you are getting tricky sandy...

1. mormons dont bewlieve in Hell...

2. mormons condemn non-mormons to “outer darkness”

3. You need to start reading what Joey Smith and Briggy young and the other mormon leaders have to say about non-mormons...they have said some really nasty stuff...

4. when do you think they will let you know about the “meat” of mormonism ???

5. or is it because you are just a lowly second class female that you dont know that the mormons send out 52,000 of you to condemn me and other non-mormons to the mormon “hell” right at my own private door ??? were you never a “missionary” ???

6. you never read your own cut and paste posts ???

7. you never read the posts of other mormons ???

He ...will judge all men,...“according to the deeds done in the body whether they be good or evil

OK, wait. How does this cover the pre-existance when the LDS teach that we were all spirit children (in contradiction of the bible) and our deeds were judged then. But we weren't in the body yest.

And how does that explain what happens when we go to spirit prison (as the LDS teach, in direct contradiction of the bible) when again we don't have bodies but our actions can affect our final disposition?

never one time I heard another Mormon condemn non Mormons to hell. That would not be Christian; ___________________________________________

Well of course not its impossible for a mormon to be a Christian...

however it is the commision of Chrsitians to warn unbelievers in jesus Christ about Hell...

as a non-Christian you dont believe that although you have been told often enough...

The Great commision that jesus gave to Chrsitians is to preach the Gospel about jesus the savior...

Part of the Gospel is ALWAYS to say “if you dont believe in jesus you will be condemned and go to Hell”

jesus dint mince words about Hell, and we chrsitians are not to either ...

HEY !!!

Did you think it was Christian or neighborly to tell people they can just keep on sinning and believing blasphemies and it will be alright ???

Did you think it was part of the Gospel to make people believe they didnt need to get saved BEFORE thyey died ???

Did you think it was Chrsitian to deceive people into believing that they could just be dead dunked AFTERthey died and it would be OK and the same ???

Where did you hear such heresy ???

Oh yes thats part of mormonism...

Well then what you might consider posting from now on is...

“never one time I heard another Mormon condemn non Mormons to hell. That would not be mormon; “

I am grateful that I am not to be judged by fellow humans, but by God:

- - - - -
And we will ALL be judged by God, either our name is written in the Lamb’s book of life (not LDS membership rolls) or it isn’t. If it isn’t then they will be condemned.

Norm, I really want to see your name written in that Book, but as a Mormon is isn’t, it cannot be because the LDS trust in ‘the Church’, the priesthood works and temple rites to get them back into the presence of God the Father, not CHRIST ALONE.

The Bema seat judgment (motivation of our works) is only for Christians.

Not in my experience

I don't think that individual experience is a very good gauge of whether LDS teachings are in line with the bible.

It has nothing to do with ‘experience’. It has to do with what the Bible says and Mormonism consistently twists the Bible and denigrates it and puts other things over it.

I will never ‘agree to disagree’ on that point, Norm. To do so would be to allow Mormons to die in their sins rather than be TRULY born again.

And please spare me the LDS definition of ‘born again’ because that isn’t biblical either.

Pick a doctrine, any LDS doctrine and I will show you how the LDS twist scripture to ‘prove’ it.

never one time I heard another Mormon condemn non Mormons to hell. ... that would not even be civil.
________________________________________

Well then we “uncivil” Christians are in good company...

because the LORD Jesus Christi didnt stop to worry over whether or not you thought His words and actions were “civil” or not...

He just exponded the Words of God and let the words and chips fall where they might...

“Vipers” “white wash tombs” whipping the moneychangers...

all “uncivil” speech and words...

all done by the “uncivilized” LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian bible...

Plus Jesus spoke more about Hell than he did about Heaven...

How “uncivil”...

and without His pinkie in the air...

and with unwashed hands...

Now FAINT...

Now you are getting tricky sandy...

I have heard from many that most LDS (including active temple attenders) do not know what their church really teaches and I always dismissed that because I spent so much time when I was LDS playing ‘catch up’ on their teachings, history and doctrines because I was a convert.

However, Sandy seems to be proving it true that most LDS do not know what the LDS teaches nor can they defend their faith.

Thanks sandy, for making that so plain to me. I will no longer assume that the LDS know their own religion.
