2nd trumpet?
Revelation 8:8 ^ | G_d

Revelation 8:8

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood

How would a 1st century man describe an exploding offshore oil rig, and it's devastation?

Salami?

So how would a 1st century person describe a gigantic deep water offshore oil rig exploding, sinking, and bleeding?

It's yer nickel, speak yer mind, or just make sammiches!

This was not the worst oil rig accident in the gulf.

this still isn’t even one of the top ten oil spills, and is still in the order of a few parts per billion in the ocean, not one third. And in what way is oil like blood?

Although it was written in the 1st Century, it wasn’t written for a 1st Century man...

When it happens, there will be no doubt what has happened...

Where's the Temple?

Where are the two witnesess?

When did the seven year peace treaty get signed?

Things are a mess right now and Israel is more alone then ever, but in 2 1/2 years we will have a new POTUS. In 6mo we will have a new Congress with a stronger conservative presence.

Why does this matter? Because with real leadership Israel won't stand alone. The economy will improve and we won't see the end of the world in every catasphore.

Because it’s red.

Seriously, man, if you can’t see how bad this is, I don’t even know what to tell you.

"this still isn’t even one of the top ten oil spills, and is still in the order of a few parts per billion in the ocean, not one third"

Since when was "the sea" equivalent to "the ocean"?
Bout what percent of "the sea" aka "the gulf of messyco" is it or is it likely to be?

And in what way is oil like blood?

Kinda looks like it could be blood from a distance, does it not? It kinda is the earth's blood in a way.

I have no answer for your 3 conditions.

As for your prognostication of the near future.

I pray you are correct!

But look at whom we are dealing with! Don't trust him.

Thank You Satan 1:51

Raw,

Serious answer to the best of my ability:

My understanding is that the Trumpet judgments come during a time commonly referred to as “The Day of the Lord.” We are not there yet. We have to have “The Great Tribulation” first.

If you are interested in following prophecy, may I suggest two sites where the “end time” are discussed?

Try fulfilledprophecy.com or unsealedprophecy.com

Blessings.

It’s a long, long way away from being the top spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Why would Jews or Greeks refer to Mexico as “THE sea?” We don’t even. THE sea would either have meant the Mediterranean, or most likely, the planetary sea. The ancients did, rather correctly, perceive all waters as being connected. (They overdid it, perceiving that inland seas were connected underground to the ocean, and were thus part of a single sea.)

And, no, the oil slick doesn’t look the slightest bit like blood to me. Not even in its color.
